Transformation Goal: I seek to grow in practicing regular fasting from food and abstinence from specific worldly habits to better believe and experience Jesus as my constant source of life and fullness.

Transformation Practices:

  • I will fast from 1 meal per week or 1 day per month.
  • I will read Fasting by Scot McKnight to be reminded of the true satisfaction Jesus offers me in Himself and to better understand the spiritual implications of fasting/abstinence.
  • I will abstain from __________ for the next 12 weeks. (E.g. social media, alcohol, sweets, television, etc.)
  • I will memorize John 4:31-34 to be reminded that my deepest satisfaction is not in food, but in carrying out and obeying God’s will.
